Chapter 42: [Side story one • The awakening of Zhou Ming, a pseudo domineering guy]
Translator: Sissy That Walk
Generally speaking, with the advent of the information age, most adolescent boys were not ignorant of certain things and had seen tutorial videos with many forms and before their instinct awakened.
Zhou Ming, of course, was no exception, had the impulsivity and curiosity of his age, yet was not courting girls of the right age, but someone…
Zhou Ming couldn’t remember when he first saw Ji Chen. It seemed that Ji Chen had been existed since he was old enough. He knew that Uncle Ji allowed Ji Chen to be friends with him meant something else. Whether Ji Chen liked it or not, he must get along with him.
Ji Chen was a bit reserved. Zhou Ming remembered that he was quite funny when he was a child. Although he knew how to restrain himself when he was angry, it was far from avoiding being perceived. Besides, he was so small and cute that generally had no deterrent force, just like an irate animal cub, only made people feel interesting and would like to tease him again. As he grew older, he became less inclined to show his emotions, but on the other hand, he probably caught on his father’s intentions and was more emotional. Zhou Ming could see his reluctance every time he was sent to play with Zhou Ming.
So Zhou Ming thought he was funny more than ever.
His father asked Ji Chen to invite Zhou Ming to his home on weekends. Ji Chen unwillingly sent messages to Zhou Ming, who was overjoyed. “Do you miss me?” No reply. But his father kept asking him if Zhou Ming would come and urging him to get a definite response. Ji Chen had no choice but to send “will you come or not?”
Zhou Ming had got such a nerve, “I’ll come if you want me to, ah ~” Ji Chen imagined Zhou’s playful smile, he silently sipped his lips. Seeing there was no response, Zhou Ming knew very well the ending on good note, and hurried to send, “Come! One p.m. sharp, I’ll come right after lunch!”
Ji Chen interpreted the joy in his heart as completing his father’s task, and then, out of hospitality, he particularly told the kitchen to prepare snacks Zhou Ming was fond of. But when the female cook asked him why he was so happy, he suddenly ceased talking. No, he was not like that. He had been tired of Zhou Ming since he was a child.
The more restrained he became, the more Zhou Ming enjoyed to tease him. They sat side by side in Ji Chen’s room, doing their homework. Zhou Ming looked at him from time to time, and Ji Chen felt that, which was really hard to ignore, but he decided to take no action for the time being. Zhou Ming stared at his smooth and delicate face and poked it with his sinful finger. Ji Chen ducked sensitively, and then he glared at him.
Zhou Ming was straightforward then: “XiaoChen, your face is so soft and smooth, like a girl.” Ji Chen was angry and blushed by this frivolous behavior. As this guy was uncle Zhou’s son, he could not scold him directly. Zhou Ming liked it when he put on a face like this, watching him stare at him angrily made his heart tickling. Ji Chen told him to focus on his homework, but Zhou Ming threw away his pen and said that he didn’t want to, and then he fell down on Ji Chen’s bed and rolled, “I was so sleepy after lunch. Don’t you know, XiaoChen, everyone should take a lunch break.”
Ji Chen kept writing and ignored him.
Zhou Ming fell on Ji Chen’s bed and caught his sweet smell, or, the mixture of shower gel and quilt after being basked in the sun. Zhou Ming’s heart beat faster suddenly, which marked the beginning of his adolescent.
Without the disturbance of Zhou Ming, the domineering guy, Ji Chen didn’t set his mind at his homework. In fact, Zhou Ming made a reasonable point. He was so sleepy after lunch that he couldn’t read at all. Glancing at the person who seemed to have fallen asleep in his bed, Ji Chen turned his head back awkwardly. This guy was quite good-looking, and was quite decent when he was asleep, though most of the time the guy upset him.
Zhou Ming didn’t fall asleep. He was quietly listening to Ji Chen. After a while, he opened his eyes and saw Ji Chen turn his back on him, nodding like a chicken pecking. Zhou Ming rose up softly and found that he was asleep, holding a pen in his right hand and almost knocked his eyes onto it. Zhou Ming quickly took off the pen and held his breath to lay him flat on the bed.
Zhou Ming’s heart was beating faster. He lay down beside Ji Chen, which made the soft bed soon sank down. Zhou Ming stared at his side face for a long time. The sunlight danced on his long eyelashes, and his skin was as white as giving out light. At last, Zhou Ming’s eyes rested on Ji Chen’s moist lips. He seemed to be tempted, like a volcano erupted in his heart and his chest became hot. He mustered up his courage and gently left a kiss, then lay down beside him with a pounding heart.
He hesitated for a moment, and finally put his arms around him, like a dragon circling the precious deposits of its own.
