Chapter 2100: Chapter 2101: Shattering Perceptions

As everyone silently listened to the conversation between the Tree Spirit and Lianna, Rhein suddenly turned to look at the distant city.

Wallace was also curious about the city in the distance and followed Rhein’s gaze. As he looked, he was taken aback, “It seems like something is flying over?”

Wallace’s words caused everyone to stop talking.

In the sky above the distant city, a steam airship emerged, gliding over the city walls and slowly flying outside the city.

The airship seemed to have a predetermined route, and even when it passed over their heads, it only cast a shadow without stopping, continuing to rumble away into the distance.

However, although the airship did not stop, two figures leaped from it.

The figures fell from a great height at tremendous speed, and just as they were about to hit the ground, a whirlwind arose from the flat land, lifting them up. The wind gradually weakened and finally disappeared, allowing the two to land gently before them.

The two who descended from the sky were Angel and Sanders.

For those present, their arrival was both surprising and expected. Since Angel had mentioned that he had a message to convey to them, there had to be some way of delivering it. Previously, they thought the monocle was some kind of communicator, and that Angel intended to use it to send a message; but now they realized their assumption was entirely wrong. Angel was not sending a message—he was standing right in front of them.

“You’ve finally arrived.” Wallace was the first to speak. He had many questions to ask, but at the moment of asking, he choked up, not knowing where to start.

Angel bowed to everyone, “We were delayed by a few minutes due to some matters, please forgive us.”

Lianna replied, “Forgiveness isn’t necessary; I’m more interested in knowing whether you’ve brought us a surprise or a shock.”

Remembering Ironclad Granny’s words from before, everyone calmed down, focusing all their attention on Angel without immediately bombarding him with questions.

Angel winked at Lianna, “I can’t say whether it’s a surprise or a shock for the others, but I think for you, it’s definitely more of a surprise than a shock.”

Angel then turned to the Tree Spirit, “And it’s the same for you, Lord Tree Spirit.”

With the previous conversation between the Tree Spirit and Lianna in mind, how could they not understand Angel’s meaning?

The Tree Spirit’s eyes flashed with joy, “Is this the variable you mentioned before?”

Angel did not hide it, “Yes indeed.”

The Tree Spirit had been uncertain before, but with Angel’s confirmation, his mood immediately brightened; however, he didn’t get carried away as he needed to ensure Angel’s intentions aligned with his understanding.

“Are you planning to host a tea party here?”

Angel nodded, “Yes, I do plan to do so. However, I’ll elaborate on the details later.”

“I know you all have many questions now, why don’t we enter the city first and talk as we walk?”

No one had any objections, and the group followed Angel, grandly making their way towards Originheart City.

Along the way, with Angel’s explanations, everyone gradually learned more about the place, but the more they learned, the more questions they had.

“Is this really in the Dream Realm? Why does it feel so real?”

“It’s not fully within the Dream Realm; it’s in a middle ground between the Dream Realm and reality. As for the realism…it’s because your initial impression is that this place is dreamland, so it feels real; if you regarded it as reality, you would certainly find that its realism is relative.”

“Are you saying everything here is fake?”

“That depends on your perspective. To those who live here, everything is real. For us, it must be considered from different angles: truth and falseness reside only in the mind.”

“The residents of Originheart City seem to be mortals; where do they come from?”

“The people here are mostly already dead in reality. What exists here is merely consciousness. By the way, have you heard of immortal consciousness? Though lacking a soul, consciousness with complete memories is a form of reincarnation.”

Similar conversations persisted without pause from the moment Lianna stepped into Originheart City. Despite Angel’s earnest answers, Lianna grew increasingly confused, even starting to doubt her own understanding.

Lianna couldn’t imagine how consciousness lived and became residents of the Dream Realm here.

Neither could she comprehend what Angel meant by truth and falseness.

She felt as if she somewhat understood, but was separated by a thin veil, unable to pull it aside to see the truth behind it.

However, not everyone was as bewildered as Lianna; others sensed more or less something.

“The rules here are similar to reality, yet there’s a sense of inconsistency,” Wallace said, looking at Angel, “The creation of rules in any world has a certain tendency but they are never identical. The rules of this world are too similar to reality; even the magic power is the same. Is the world’s will imitating reality? But the world’s will has no thought, leaving only one possibility: the controller of this world intentionally aligned the rules with reality?”

Wallace continued, “You are this world’s rule maker?”

Angel looked at Wallace with some surprise. Influenced by Sanders, he had some misconceptions about Wallace. But now, those misconceptions were being corrected; Wallace could indeed become the leader of the Barbarian Cave’s Academy Faction. It’s undeniable that his talent in meticulous investigation and analytical research is remarkable, seeing the broad perspective from minute details.

Wallace directly pointed out the core aspect of the Wilderness of Dreams: authority.

Angel had intended to discuss authority last, but since Wallace mentioned it, he went ahead:

“The rule maker is not entirely me yet; I control only a small part. But the creator of the Wilderness of Dreams is indeed me.”

Angel’s words were like a thunderbolt, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

The creator of a world…?!

Though this world had its imperfections, the ability to create a world was beyond anyone’s expectations. Even the usually composed Ironclad Granny looked at Angel with eyes filled with astonishment and doubt.

Angel said, “I think you might be misunderstanding; this isn’t an actual world, just a semi-plane.”

Angel briefly explained the birth of the Wilderness of Dreams, temporarily omitting the details about the Dream Conch, the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain, and Shava, only mentioning Floyd’s ideas, his own bit of luck, and the benefits of his Nightmare Soul Body.

Even though Angel explained, everyone still felt dazed.

Even as a semi-plane, as long as it’s in the Southern Domain Wizard World, it can be accessed via a log-in device to enter this world, which everyone understood the significance of!
