As the other disciple attacked, the white-faced disciple instantly realized that he was no ordinary man. Such logic-defying occurrences were common in the Door of Desolation.
He didn’t hesitate in the slightest, tensing his whole body. Channeling the True Energy in his body, the Hundred Beast Encyclopaedia awoke once again and a pack of Lightning Fire Foxes leaped out, morphing into an intense ball of flaming glow that tore through the air and attacked Ye Mo.
Those two guards were waiting for the crucial moment to take Ye Mo down and kill him.
Ye Mo had just finished his transformation – his aura was at an all-time high. He had wanted to spar against an elite in the Spirit Devour Realm for a long time.
Xiao Yue was inside. He had to find out why Xiao Yue was at the Door of Desolation. Maybe he could use his sparring with the two disciples as a distraction to Xiao Jing to slip into the inside of the mountain peak.
Also, his opponents’ words had really made him mad.
Boom!
The True Energy exploded and both disciples were forced to step back. Ye Mo remained where he was, displaying his Sky Blood Spear technique and quashing his opponents’ attacks.
“No matter how long we fight, the two of you will never be my match,” Ye Mo said calmly. “I am a disciple from the Asura Dao Palace. With my skills, I could kill you two right now and all I’d have to do is accuse you two of some crime and the Door of Desolation might not even punish me. If you two are smart, you’ll stop your attack and answer some of my questions honestly.”
“You’re a disciple of the Asura Dao Palace? Why haven’t I seen you before?” the white-faced disciple asked, surprised.
“I’m a newcomer this year,” Ye Mo said. “We must not have met yet.”
“A newcomer?” the white-faced disciple’s expression changed. Everyone knew that the Asura Dao Palace hadn’t received any disciples in the past 50 years. What’s more, Asura Dao Palace’s master, Dongfang Ao’tian was extremely protective of his pupils. There had been a few incidents in the past where members of the Asura Dao Palace had accidentally killed disciples of other palaces, but Congfang Ao’tian protected his disciples, and they all escaped scot-free.
“That’s right,” Ye Mo said. “I’m the newcomer to the Asura Dao Palace this year. You sure you want to continue?”
“Speak,” the white-faced disciple said through clenched teeth. “What do you want to know?”
“How do I enter the Inner Peak?” Ye Mo asked.
“None of the disciples from any of the Six Dao Palaces are allowed into the Inner Peak,” the white-faced disciple replied. “Unless you’re invited by the elders inside, you can forget about ever stepping foot into the place.”
“Were there any interactions between the Door of Desolation and the Sky Poison Temple?” Ye Mo asked.
“Sky Poison Temple?” The white-faced disciple thought for a moment before he continued, “Half a year ago, our Young Master went to the Sky Poison Temple for some reason. No idea what he did there.”
Ye Mo frowned for a moment and did not speak further. Now that Xiao Jing had entered the Inner Peak, he could look forward to her finding some clues for him.
Returning to the Asura Dao Temple, Ye Mo was in no mood to train at all, his mind filled with images of Xiao Yue’s shadow.
“Why would Yue Yue appear in the Door of Desolation?” he asked himself. “There must be a reason. It’s a shame that it will be so difficult for me to see her unless she comes out herself.”
Ye Mo’s eyes sparkled – he refused to believe that Xiao Yue would be staying in the Inner Peak for long.
“Brother Ye Mo, where were you?” Miao Miao rushed in anxiously.
“I went out for a while. What’s wrong?” Ye Mo asked. It was strange that Miao Miao was still looking for him this late into the night.
Miao Miao stuck out her palm and said, “Hurry and hand over the Asura Deity Blood. Sister Qing Lian said that you can’t consume it– not even under my supervision. The Asura Deity Blood contains a lot of energy and Asura Power – just the power inside it’s enough to cause your whole body to explode. I suggest you hand it over now. I’ll return it to you after you reach the Transcendence Realm.”
“Sister Miao Miao, the blood is gone,” Ye Mo said.
“What? Where is it?” Miao Miao said sternly. “Brother Ye Mo, don’t think about keeping it and consuming it secretly. That will do you no favors. Listen to the words of your senior, understand?”
“I’ve already consumed the Asura Deity Blood,” Ye Mo said.
“What? You consumed it?” Miao Miao looked shocked. She started rummaging through Ye Mo’s body – any further and she would have taken his clothes off too. Seeing that nothing serious had happened to Ye Mo, she lashed out in anger, “The nerve of you, Ye Mo, to play me for a fool. Watch how I’m going to spank you.”
As she spoke, Miao Miao reached her hand towards Ye Mo’s behind, trailing a shadow behind her.
Whenever Ye Mo was getting punished, Miao Miao always liked to aim for the hips.
But the Ye Mo now wasn’t the Ye Mo of the past. Reaching his hand out, he grabbed her delicate wrist. He said, “Sister Miao Miao, I’m not lying to you.”
Miao Miao blinked at Ye Mo’s hand on her arm “How did you do that? You grabbed my arm. No one below the Spirit Devour Realm should be able to do that.” She looked Ye Mo in the eyes, stunned. “Brother Ye Mo, did you really consume the Asura Deity Blood?”
“I did.” Ye Mo nodded. “It didn’t just let me reach the advanced stage of the Heaven’s Strength Realm, it allowed me to successfully cultivate the Asura Power, too. With my current strength, I can almost match up with an elite fighter in the Spirit Devour Realm.” Ye Mo smiled.
“That’s insane.” Miao Miao was at a loss at Ye Mo’s words. Senior disciple Mu Sang almost died trying to consume the Asura Deity Blood, but Ye Mo was able to do it successfully and cultivated the Asura Power as a result.
“Sister Miao Miao, you had a good time hitting me. Now it’s my turn.” Ye Mo let out a mischievous laugh and darted towards Miao Miao’s behind in a flash, unleashing a tight slap.
Slap!
Ye Mo’s palm came into contact with those bouncy hips.
Miao Miao didn’t have time to react before she felt a numbness in her buttocks. Her face reddened before her embarrassment turned into anger. She said, “Ye Mo, I’m going to kill you. I’m your senior, and you still dare to spank me.”
But no matter how hard Miao Miao tried, she couldn’t hit Ye Mo. In the end, Miao Miao sprawled across the floor and started to cry loudly, “I thought I had a new junior that I could bully. Who would’ve thought that after only one day, he’d be the one who’s bullying me?”
“Sister Miao Miao, I’m just fooling around,” Ye Mo said. “You can hit me however you want now.”
“There’s no point. I am not your match – what’s the point of you letting me attack you?” Miao Miao continued sobbing.
“Sister Miao Miao, stop crying,” Ye Mo said. “I’m sorry. If you stop crying, I’ll do anything for you.”
This was Ye Mo’s first time comforting a woman.
“Really?” Miao Miao’s tears stopped instantly, her face revealing a troubled expression.
“Of course.” Ye Mo replied.
“That’s more like it!” Miao Miao climbed up once again. In a child-like manner, she grabbed Ye Mo’s shoulder and whispered a few words in his ear.
“Sister Miao Miao, this isn’t a good idea.” Ye Mo was somewhat troubled.
“What’s so bad about it?” Miao Miao asked. “We just share a senior-junior relation. If you get rid of him for me, I’ll forgive the way that you hit me. How about that?”
“Alright,” Ye Mo reluctantly agreed.
He sighed and couldn’t shake the feeling he’d just fallen into Miao Miao’s trap.
