Feng Jiu’s eyes narrowed when she saw the middle-aged man’s hand twitch slightly. Something slipped from his sleeve, and a hidden weapon flew toward Song Mi’er. “Master Wei!” the guards shouted in shock. They rushed to his side, helped him up, and, forgetting the fight, carried him back to the Wei family’s compound.

“Hmph! You think I’m an easy target? How dare you bully me? Have you asked my frying pan?” Song Mi’er snorted, raising her chin with a smug smile as she brandished the deadly frying pan.

Cloud Devouring walked over and gently tapped her foot with his claw.

“What’s wrong?” Song Mi’er asked, looking down at the chubby pet.

Cloud Devouring glanced up at the teahouse’s second floor before running up the stairs. Song Mi’er followed his gaze and saw Feng Jiu, dressed in a red robe, holding a teacup and smiling at her. She couldn’t help but cry out in surprise.

“Sister, you’re back!” She happily followed Cloud Devouring upstairs, sat at the table, and said, “Sister, when did you get back? Why are you here?”

Feng Jiu smiled and replied, “I just got here. I heard you were fighting with someone, so I came to take a look.”
