X-Men Universe, Earth, Germany, Magneto’s House.

As lunchtime approached…

“Ding-dong!”

The doorbell rang, startling Magneto, Erik, who was engrossed in the newspaper on the sofa. “Who could that be? Wanda? Lorna? Pietro? Those kids never remember their keys.”

“Always complaining,” Nina grumbled from the kitchen, but she hurried to answer the door.

Upon seeing the visitor, Nina froze. Standing on the doorstep was a vision of youthful beauty.

The woman’s golden hair cascaded in gentle waves, her fair skin glowing like ivory. Sapphire-blue eyes sparkled, her nose was delicate and straight, and her lips were a soft pink. Dressed in a knee-length red skirt, she possessed a figure that was both slender and alluring, a true femme fatale.

Nina couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

This woman exuded both youthful vitality and mature grace, a captivating blend of beauty and intelligence. Even Nina, in her youth, would have envied her.

But why did this seemingly blessed woman have such an anxious, almost expectant look in her eyes? And why were her long, delicate fingers nervously intertwined?

Could this be another one of Erik’s… offspring?

Nina’s gaze hardened slightly. She knew her husband well. In his younger days, he’d had a reputation for being quite the charmer, leaving a trail of… offspring across the globe.

“Excuse me… does Mr. Erik live here?” The woman’s voice was soft and melodious.

Just as she suspected.

Nina was about to inquire when she saw Erik put down his newspaper and rise to his feet.

Looking at the blonde woman, Erik’s expression froze. “Jean? What are you doing here?”

Jean smiled faintly, a gentle nod. “Professor X told me you lived here.”

“Ah, so you’re one of Professor X’s students,” Nina realized with a warm smile. She quickly opened the door wider, inviting Jean inside. “Come in, come in.”

“Thank you,” Jean said politely as she entered. Her mental powers subtly extended, scanning the house. Besides Erik and Nina, only Anya was present, peacefully asleep in her room.

The person she sought was nowhere to be found.

Disappointment washed over her, and a single tear escaped her eye.

“Jean, what’s wrong?” Nina’s heart ached. Even though Jean wasn’t her child, witnessing her distress was deeply unsettling.

“It’s nothing… I’m fine…” Jean tried to compose herself, but the tears continued to flow.

Erik, sensing her distress, sighed. “You’re looking for him, aren’t you?”

Jean nodded, her lips trembling.

“He…” Erik began, but his words were cut off by the sudden opening of the door. Apocalypse strode in, his voice preceding him. “I’ve come for lunch. Those two disciples of mine are truly a handful.”

Upon seeing Jean, Apocalypse recoiled, his body stiffening. He turned to leave. “Sorry for the intrusion!”

“Stop!” Jean’s voice boomed, a powerful aura erupting around her. Her blonde hair whipped around her face as she glared at Apocalypse. He felt as if an invisible force had frozen him in place, unable to move.

“Old man!” Jean’s voice was cold and menacing. “Where is my teacher? What have you done with him?”

“I’m merely a servant,” Apocalypse said with a bitter smile. “I have no control over my master’s whereabouts.”

A faint golden light began to emanate from Jean. “If you don’t want to be reduced to ashes by the Phoenix Force, you will tell me where Teacher Caesar is,” she warned.

“I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you!” Apocalypse panicked.

Despite his considerable power gained over the past decade, he was no match for the Phoenix Force, an almost invincible power capable of tearing through the very fabric of the universe.

‘Master, forgive me’, Apocalypse thought, ‘I must betray you.’

…

Not far from Magneto’s villa, a secluded forest concealed a barrier of energy, surrounding a massive pyramid.

On the altar platform, the young Wanda and Lorna were diligently training to control their mutant abilities.

Caesar sat on a raised platform, basking in the sunlight. He was lost in thought, contemplating a way to break through this universe and return to the Marvel Universe where his true body resided, perhaps by accessing a dimension like the quantum realm.

‘My strength should be sufficient now. A single, full-powered punch could obliterate the Earth. But to truly breach this realm, I need a more potent force…’ Caesar mused, recalling the Phoenix Force.

The Phoenix Force, the ultimate embodiment of psychic energy, possessed the power to rend the very fabric of the universe!

If he could utilize the Phoenix Force to create an opening, and then unleash his Superman strength, he might be able to shatter the boundaries of this reality.

‘Such a pity…’ Caesar sighed. He had already decided against meeting Jean again.

He was not truly from this world. He would eventually have to leave, and Jean had her own life to live. This separation felt like the most appropriate conclusion.

Caesar gazed at the sun, lost in thought when a sound startled him. Apocalypse had arrived.

But this time, he was not alone…

Jean?

Caesar leaped from the platform, his eyes widening in surprise. There she stood, beside Apocalypse.

Could it be?

Jean looked directly at him. After more than a decade, her teacher remained unchanged, eternally youthful.

“Apocalypse!” Caesar deliberately averted his gaze, directing his anger toward Apocalypse.

“Master, this isn’t my fault. I couldn’t defeat her, and I wouldn’t dare to,” Apocalypse whined, bowing his head. These two, his supposed masters, constantly pushed him to his limits.

“It’s not his fault,” Jean interjected. “I came to find you.”

“Find me for what?” Caesar rubbed the back of his head, a wry smile playing on his lips. “It’s been over a decade. You’ve grown into a woman. You don’t need my guidance anymore.”

“You’ve truly graduated, Jean,” He added with a hint of wistfulness in his voice.

But then, Jean ran towards him and threw herself into his arms.

“No, I still need your teachings,” she declared, her voice filled with passion. Her gaze met his, intense and unwavering. “I want to learn from you. About love. About how to be a good wife. About how to spend a lifetime with one person, until death do us part.”

Caesar trembled, holding her close. He exhaled slowly. “This will be a lifelong lesson, Jean. Are you certain you won’t regret it? That you won’t give up halfway?”

“Never,” she vowed, her tears falling like pearls as she clung to him. “Every day since I left you, Teacher, has been filled with regret.”

The ice that had long encased Caesar’s heart began to melt.

For the first time, he felt a genuine connection to this world, something more than just an outsider’s presence.

How should he respond to such raw, intense emotion?

Caesar held her tightly, his heart pounding. He leaned down and kissed her.

Seeing their embrace, Apocalypse stepped in front of Wanda and Lorna.

“This is not for young eyes,” he declared.
