Inside the retro and atmospheric bar, at the bar counter:

John solemnly took out a dozen or so bottles of liquor. Though his movements were a bit stiff, he quickly fell into the rhythm of mixing the Gule cocktail.

The bartender girl stood beside him, astonished, watching her father, who hadn’t personally mixed drinks in a long time. She sneaked another glance at the handsome young man sitting at the bar. Her cute face flushed bright red, and she quickly looked away.

Five minutes later.

“All done.” John exhaled lightly, wiped the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief handed to him by the bartender girl, and placed one drink in front of Caesar and the other in front of Apocalypse.

“Please, sir, try it. It’s been a while since I made a drink, so I’m a bit rusty,” John said, looking at Caesar with reverence.

“I’ll give it a try.” Caesar picked up the glass, gently swirled it, and then took a sip. His eyes slightly brightened as he tilted his head back and finished the entire drink.

He smiled and set the glass down. “Not bad, really not bad. It still tastes like the old flavor from over ten years ago.”

John grinned, looking at Apocalypse. “Old sir, you should try it too.”

Apocalypse didn’t respond to him but instead looked at Caesar.

“Go ahead and try it too,” Caesar smiled.

“Yes, master.” Apocalypse stepped forward and took the drink. After a sip, he spoke softly, “I didn’t expect the current cocktail-making techniques to be so advanced. However, compared to the fine wine you once offered me, this still falls short.”

Hearing Apocalypse disparage her father’s drink, the bartender girl angrily said, “Who are you, old man? You’re talking about ‘fine wine’…”

“Shirley!” John was startled.

She shouldn’t be saying things like that, especially not to the elderly man who accompanied Caesar. That man was probably the one who nearly destroyed the world many years ago!

He had lived for an unknown amount of time, worshipped by the world, and had tasted countless drinks. His judgment on the matter was naturally valid.

Apocalypse set his glass down and didn’t mind. In the past, with his violent temper, the entire city would probably have been wiped out by now. But now, he was merely a servant by his master’s side, always acting in his master’s best interest.

“Uncle John, I didn’t know you had a daughter,” Caesar smiled and said, looking at the bartender girl beside John.

“Her name is Shirley,” John replied with a smile, affectionately looking at the girl. “She’s been living in the countryside, and I only brought her to New York for her studies in recent years. She occasionally helps as a bartender here. Don’t let her small size fool you; she’s far better at mixing drinks than I am.”

Feeling Caesar’s gaze, Shirley shyly lowered her head, her little hands pressed together as her face almost buried in her chest.

“You’re usually not this shy,” John said, feeling surprised, looking at her.

“Dad!” Shirley stomped her foot, embarrassed, and almost ran into the back kitchen, but she couldn’t bring herself to leave the front area.

“You…” John watched his daughter’s unusual behavior and finally realized something. He frowned deeply, sighing inwardly.

Caesar continued sipping his drink, chatting occasionally with John.

Suddenly, Apocalypse whispered from behind Caesar, “Master, a few Mutants have arrived.”

“Mm,” Caesar nodded lightly, not paying much attention.

With a loud “bang,” the wooden door of the bar was kicked open. Three punkish youths, with dyed hair, piercings, and dressed in punk fashion, arrogantly walked into the bar. Their entrance caused all the patrons inside to turn and stare at them.

“It’s them again,” Shirley, like a frightened rabbit, quickly hid behind John. John’s face darkened, but when he saw Caesar and Apocalypse sitting at the bar, he reassuringly patted Shirley’s head.

“We’re from the Brotherhood. If you don’t want to die, get out of here!” The red-haired youth scanned the bar’s patrons with a sneer. With his left hand still in his pocket, he pulled out a metal lighter, flicked it open, and suddenly a large burst of flame spiraled from his right hand, causing the bar’s air to grow hot.

The patrons in the bar turned pale, immediately standing up and vacating their seats, leaving through the wooden door behind the three youths.

In no time, the once lively bar was now eerily quiet, with only John and his daughter, Caesar, Apocalypse, and the three new Mutant youths remaining.

“A bunch of cowards!” Shirley spat.

However, she also knew she couldn’t blame the patrons. These three Mutants were incredibly strong, and even if the Mutant-control military forces or organizations showed up, they’d probably still be no match for them.

Hiding behind John, Shirley secretly glanced at Caesar, who was sitting motionless at the bar counter. While feeling admiration and gratitude, she wished that Caesar would leave with the other patrons.

“Aaron, there are two more,” Pyro Aaron mutated companions, casting a cold glance at Caesar and Apocalypse. “A young man and an old man.”

“Didn’t you understand what I said?” Aaron stepped forward, and the flame on his right hand flared up even more.

“Oh, old man, you’re agreeing this easily?” The hedgehog man grinned savagely, his gaze falling on Caesar and Apocalypse. “However, rules are rules. We cleared the place, and they’re not leaving. That doesn’t follow the Brotherhood’s rules!”

“If we let them go this time, how will we maintain our reputation?” The stone man added.

Just as the two of them were about to move forward, Shirley suddenly stepped out from behind John. Her face was flushed, but she gathered her courage and shouted, “They’re not just any customers!”

She pointed at Caesar and Apocalypse. “This is— my boyfriend, and that is my grandfather. They’re part of our bar!”

“Oh?” The hedgehog man and the stone man exchanged a glance and looked meaningfully at Aaron.

Aaron’s face darkened with cold fury as he glared at Caesar. “Teach him a harsh lesson.”

“Okay!” The hedgehog man and the stone man both started walking toward Caesar.

“Master,” Apocalypse did not turn around but looked at Caesar questioningly.

“Don’t kill them,” Caesar whispered, taking a small sip of his drink.

“Understood,” Apocalypse nodded respectfully.

Without any visible movement, Apocalypse’s eyes glowed with a cold white light. Then, as if struck by some unseen force, the two men moving toward them— hedgehog man and stone man— were sent flying backward!

Crash!!!

The two figures screamed as they were hurled past the others, and Aaron froze in shock.

He turned to see that the hedgehog man’s spikes had broken off, and his bloodied body was slumped against a dented wall. The stone man had one of his arms broken, with large cracks in his rocky skin, deeply embedded in the wall. Both were instantly severely injured and unconscious.

Instant kill! A true instant kill!
